Copyright takedown (DMCA / 149-FZ) policy
Last updated: 2026-05-15
Arxlate is a translation tool. We translate scientific papers (sourced from arXiv.org or uploaded by the user) on demand, and store the translation privately in the requesting user’s account. We do not maintain a public catalogue of translations.
If you are a copyright holder (or authorised to act on behalf of one) and believe content available through Arxlate infringes your rights, you may request its removal by sending a notice to dmca@arxlate.com.
What to include in your notice
We process notices that meet the substantive requirements of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512) and, where applicable, of Russian Federal Law 149-FZ. Please provide:
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed. For scientific papers: title, authors, arXiv identifier or DOI, publication details if applicable.
- A description of where the infringing material is located on Arxlate. Since translations are private, please describe how you became aware of the alleged infringement.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
How quickly we act
We aim to acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and to remove or disable access to clearly infringing material within 72 hours of receiving a complete notice. For ambiguous claims we may request additional information before acting.
Repeat infringers
Users who repeatedly upload material that is the subject of valid infringement notices may have their accounts terminated.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error you may file a counter-notice with the same email address. We will forward the counter-notice to the original complainant and, absent a court order, may restore the content after 10–14 business days.
Misuse
Submitting a knowingly false notice exposes you to liability for any damages incurred by the alleged infringer, including legal fees and costs, under both Russian and U.S. law.
